What’s TPU Material

TPU material introduction:
TPU is a kind of high molecular elastomeric environmental protection material without plasticizer, which can be used in a wide range of applications, such as PU universal belt, PU pneumatic pipe, mechanical transmission belt, etc.

TPU material characteristics:
The properties of TPU are between rubber and plastic, with high tension and tensile strength.
The characteristics of TPU are as follows.
1. High abrasion resistance, impact resistance;
2. Good cold resistance: it can withstand low temperature of -35℃;
3. High temperature resistance: can withstand high temperature above 120℃;
4. Good mechanical properties: good load-bearing capacity and impact resistance;
5. Resistant to grease and water (depends on TPU type);
6. Good resistance to oxidation;
7. Good processability: can be processed by common processing methods;
8. Wide range of hardness: good flexibility and toughness even with increased hardness.

TPU material applications:

1. Garments: raincoat, snowcoat, windbreaker and other waterproof and breathable fabrics;
2. Automotive products: sofa seats, insulating panels, wheels, etc;
